From a popular indie heart-throb, to a sex offender

24 year-old English Indie singer-songwriter Rex Orange County, real name Alexander O'Connor has recently been accused of sexual assault in London. On the 1st of June 2021, The Sun reported that a Woman was assaulted twice in London's West End. He pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexual assault on the 10th of October at Southwark's Crown Court in London. Many fans, back in July were devastated to receive the news that he was cancelling his European, New Zealand and Australia tour dates:

" due to unforeseen personal circumstances"- Rex Orange County

However, now it is evident, to many.

His representative in court proceeded to say how..

"Alex is shocked by the allegations, which he denies, and looks forward to clearing his name in court."

On the 13th of August, fans were very emotional after seeing Rex break down on stage during his last song, at his last gig, after cancelling the rest of his tour. Fans on TikTok, after the allegations were made public, were disgusted as they believe the true reason behind Rex' upset at his London show, was due to his realisation that soon the public would find out about the assault; it was his last chance to see his fans in awe rather than horror.
